there sure are a lot of chinese people in Beijing. i can't believe how large and sprawling this city is. it's crowded, but because it's also so spacious you don't really get a sense of the population. you do however, get a sense of space, and how much of it this city takes up. insane.
saw the forbidden city and tianamen square today. walking hurts my feet.
and food. goodness, food is cheap here. i almost feel guilty. we're paying literally pennies for food.
